The Puget Sound Mill and Timber Company, Bellingham, WA. The Puget Sound Mill and Timber Company was located in south Bellingham with Sehome HIll as a backdrop. It was the world's largest shingle mill with an annual output of 135,000 shingles and 18,381,788 feet of timber. By 1900 shingle manufacturing was at its peak in Puget Sound. Whatcom County was home to 68 shingle mills that year with a combined output valued at $5,000,000.
