Whatcom Creek Falls, Bellingham, WA, ca.1909. Whatcom Falls Park was a venture of the Young Men's Commercial Club who pushed for its aquisition and development in 1908. Whatcom Creek flows through the 41 acres of forested park land that was purchased for $12,000. The Whatcom Falls Park Club built bridges across the creek as well as a shelter and rustic houses for camping in the park. The park is located between Bellingham and Lake Whatcom but no longer accommodates campers.
