Bellingham Bay Lumber Company Mill, Bellingham, WA. In 1907 The Coast, a Seattle publication, reported that the "big mill" of the Bellingham Bay Lumber Company had the largest sawmill in the world as well as being one of the world's largest producers of lumber. In one ten-hour shift it was noted that the company had produced 375,000 feet of lumber. During this time the mill was managed by Captain L.O. Waldo. After processing, lumber products were loaded on nearby ships which delivered them to markets around the world.
